On January 25, 2022, Attorney Bernard and Attorney Bruno's article titled "Drugged Driving and the Future of Drug Testing: The Draeger Drug Test 5000" was featured on the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) blog. The article detailed the Draeger DrugTest 5000 (DDT5000), an oral fluid test which may be used to assist law enforcement with determining whether an individual has consumed drugs. The article discusses the potential issues with the DDT5000, including the fact that during testing, false positives were observed.
The mission statement of the NCDD is to "provide advance level training to practitioners, to share ideas and thoughts among our peers, and protect the rights of all of those individuals who are accused of impaired driving." Attorney Bernard and Attorney Bruno are honored to have their work recognized by the NCDD.
